If your husband gets involve in someone else, crying or getting upset or begging him to come back is not the way out. Try to manage it through grief recovery mechanism. The best thing is to disclose aggravation in front of someone close to you and then make strategy to tackle the situation. Instead of going to his parents, wife should seek help from her in-laws, her husband’s close friends or from women who has been through all this already. Need to discuss it with children as well. Share it with dignity; compose yourself with the determination to compensate the damage done. Don’t take it as a personal rejection. Instead consider it as a bad habit or disease like addiction there is another video on the same topic titled as Bad Habits in Husband. Men’s biology is different from women’s. A woman should not be tolerant and nice beyond the limits because this will eventually lead to some addictive behavior in either of spouse. Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about Psychology of men and relationships

It has been said that a man is either a collector or a hunter. Meaning it is his habit to possess something and put it aside. It does not necessarily mean that he moves towards something else but starts ignoring it. If a woman gives too much attention to her man, he gives her less attention. He should not think he has all the hold on her. The woman should not be within an easy reach for her man. It is uncommon for a woman to approach a man first when starting a relationship as usually the man makes the first move but with time this fades out and for some reasons the woman loses her grasp. Sometimes a woman should adopt the behavior of a man. She may ask for some space and pretend to be busy while not making herself available for him all the time and giving him freedom to do the things that he wants to do. The woman should not compromise too much on her part and should not be taken for granted. A man defines himself from three main things which include his physical appearance, success and the woman he is with. Therefore from this we can tell how much importance he gives to the woman in his life.

In this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali  extensively talks about “Fear and Phobias”. Dr. Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

Fear cannot be dealt with lectures but need a face off.  It would be very helpful to start with a small step by just observing someone dealing with the fear you have. When human learns to be afraid it leads to variety of fears. Many people use fear as an instant tool to handle various situations which eventually results in several unwanted negative outcomes. It may help temporarily but not in long run.

Phobia is the extreme form of fear, an unnecessary excessive fear which handicaps us from performing our usual tasks. It is important to understand that we learn to get afraid and likewise we can unlearn not to get afraid. For prevention, it is important for parents to keep the fear away from their children while upbringing them. Many parents construct fear related beliefs in the mind of their children in order to acquire the desired behavior. This ultimately results in a child carrying the ill founded belief up to the extent that he/she rejects all logic and stays strong on the belief. Working on fear on weekly basis is very necessary. Ultimate solution is to face your fears and involve yourself in similar situations. For example, to overcome death phobia one can attend death ceremonies and understand the reality of death.

Most people believe that “there is no cure of obsession” but it’s not true. Dr Sadaqat claims that obsessions can be managed and even individuals can eliminate it. There are several medications that can help. But along with medication, identification of obsession is of utmost importance. Give a reality check to your obsession and ensure whether it is rational or irrational. Either this practice will decrease the severity of obsession or it will lose its power, once individual recognize it as an obsession. Furthermore, people should not entertain their obsession. Entertaining it makes it stronger. People also seek logical excuses and affirmation from others to disapprove their obsession but it is a temporary relief. The solution is to face your fear, which is challenging and requires courage. First step is to see others doing what you get feared of. In this way people compare and attain courage to do it on their own. Despite entertaining your obsession, delaying it can be a useful tactic. Every human has to deal with ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts) which are unconscious in nature. Dr. Sadaqat Ali highlights that these ANTs must be challenged. When challenged it won’t influence our mind. Many people who fall under the prey of this disease destroy their careers and sabotage their success. Actually obsessions are prior illusion that needs to be identified and should not be entertained.

Dr Sadaqat Ali signifies the fact that expecting the world to be the way we want it is a neurotic behavior. The software that keeps the world go on is not based on fairness rather it’s our responsibility to make it fair.  Life is not fair and it’s not build on fair principle. Every one of us is operating with certain paradigms. First thing would be working on those paradigms instead of lecturing the other person. There is another video on the same topic titled as Psychology of Men .We develop certain mental maps over the period of time; they can’t be fixed by lecturing and advising because they are working on unconscious basis. If someone is not willing to change, the first step would be making them change. That can be done by “data intervention” by family or loved ones in a very respectful manner. There is another video on the same topic titled as Flirting Husband . Being happy is a decision that you need to make and then by doing it again and again over time turns it into a habit. Later in the video Dr Sadaqat Ali indicates the relationship between cause & effect and mental maps.  As wife, treat your husband as a most valuable entity and take care of him in the same manner. There is another video on the same topic titled as The inner self.  Never ask for things like love, time or care from your husband because you can’t have it by demand and it’s also against your dignity. What needs to be done is to make yourself attractive and irresistible.

For weight management some serious steps should be taken, we have seen people around, who eat mindlessly, when someone offers us, we are unable to say no. The need is to develop new habits of what you should eat and what you shouldn’t. For this you don’t need to starve, rather you just have to make healthy choices. Weight management doesn’t ask for eating some boring food rather the baseline is eating smartly which includes be acquainted with the calorie count and understanding the portions. Start saying no to overeating and mindless eating and yes to healthy habits which includes exercising, walking etc. Make mental maps first, once you are done with mental mapping, even if you are upset, you will do it. Take proper meals; don’t skip any meal, even if you don’t feel like eating, you should eat. Divide your meals, 3 proper meals and 3 minor meals. In weight management the important tip is to eat before you get starved. Once you are hungry, some toxins will be produced in your body and it will automatically ruin your management. Controlling and prevention are two different things. We need to design a program similar to polio prevention program to control drug addiction. Usually alcoholism and drug addictions are found in those families who are more tolerant. They are basically nice and patient people. They keep on tolerating addictive behaviors from the addict and try to handle him with softness and eventually result into dysfunctional families. To control drug addiction, try to discipline the addict rather than tolerating his fanatic behaviors. Family should avoid provoking conversation and enabling. They should get a help from expert doctor or from any relative who knows about addiction.  Family should not feel embarrass because either we can solve the problem or we can hide it. There are few signs of addiction: i) low academic grades ii) suspicious friends iii) rude attitude with parents iv) no self respect. There is another video on the same topic titled as Addictive behaviour. Stress is root cause of many primary diseases like diabetes, depression, anxiety, etc., that can lead to suicide.  Stress also aggravates the genetic diseases. It is also one of the three factors that lead to addiction. Other two are depression and anger. Meditation helps in stress management. Further we need to activate our “know system” in frontal lobe to deal with stress.

Infidelity is a common issue in many societies. But important endeavor is to work on recovering yourself from grief, which proposes to accept reality without blaming others. Almost everyone faces certain situations in life that require grief recovery; some of them include financial loss, death of a loved one, divorce or chronic illnesses. After being deceived by your loved one, there are two choices, either to end the relation or take it as a challenge and make your relationship better. If any individual take exits from a relationship than in most case scenarios same approach will be applied in other aspects of life.

If something bad happens there must be some reason behind it. Identify those reasons which lead towards bad circumstances. Family is an important asset, if you want to save your relationship you have to pull everyone together and then make combined effort.  Pay attention to yourself first, don’t get angry, take good care of your physical and mental health and also develop healthy routine. Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about Strengthening weak relationship with parents

[KGVID]http://videos.willingways.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Dr.-Sadaqat-Alis-Expertise-on-Weak-Relationship-with-Parents-on-ATV-MWF-Part-13-Low-360p.mp4[/KGVID]

This video of Dr Sadaqat Ali contains information on “Strengthening Weak Relationship with Parents”. There is another video of Dr Sadaqat Ali on the same topic how parents relationship affect children. Dr Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

Talking about relationship with parents, Dr Sadaqat Ali indicates that easiest of all relationships to maintain is with parents. Basically the main reason behind the gap between parent and child is that parents want to administer their children the same way as they were administered by their parents. Change has become a main agent these days and parents still follow obsolete methods and hence face difficulties. In order to improve relationship parents have to learn new techniques of parenting by following “know system” which means to listen and interact with your children accordingly. Negotiate with your child in detail and ultimately the solution needs to be a win – win.  There are three levels of stands, which mean the inclination to listen to what parents say. Green stands are the one which children usually follow.

In Yellow stands, children listen to but they show resistance or mood.  Lastly comes red stand, which includes what is being told is not followed.  Usually parents are always in mode of taking red stands which eventually than make even the yellow and green stands turn into red, resulting in weaken writ established by parents. Parents should start with green stands while helping the children develop an attitude of saying yes further leading to taking yellow stand and then red stands eventually.  Lastly Dr Sadaqat highlights the importance of negotiating skills.
