[KGVID]http://videos.willingways.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Tony_Robins.mp4[/KGVID]

This video is made by OPRAH WINFREY NETWORK (OWN) and is hosted by Willing Ways Video Channel. The video is about 5 steps to transformation. Tony Robbins is bestselling author, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He has written 5 international bestselling books which were highly acclaimed. This doesn’t end here; he is also nation’s number one life and business Strategist. Tony Robbins is known as a ‘catalyst to change and a strategist to success.’

Willing Ways (Pvt) Limited is an accredited organization in Pakistan which is known for years helping the families and their loved one who fall prey to the chronic disease of drug addiction. We at Willing Ways provide the international standard treatment and are known for our results not only in Pakistan but across the borders as well. Our expertise does not end here we are recognized for our ‘counseling for change’ programs. Change that help individuals reach their goals that could not be accomplished because of some defined obstacles. We help remove those obstacles scientifically and hence a miracle happens.

In this video Tony Robbins talks about the practical steps to transformation and these he identified 5 in number. The first one was SATIATION. In Cambridge dictionary the word satiation is defined as “ to completely satisfy yourself or a need, especially with food or pleasure, so that you could not have any more” When satiation gets mature it leads to the second step Tony Robbins indicates as DISSATISFACTION. A point that occurs because of pain. This pain leads to the point where it results in THRESHOLD, when your brain indicates that you cannot bear it anymore.  At this point you get an INSIGHT, an ultimate truth. Immediately after that the point come when transformation takes place and this is the OPENING when a wise decision needs to be made.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about how to acknowledge your emotions

[KGVID]http://videos.willingways.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/final-21.mp4[/KGVID]

butnIn this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about how to acknowledge your emotions. Dr Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

In this video Dr Sadaqat talks about how to acknowledge your emotions. Most of the time people tend to suppress their emotions, which in fact is of no benefit. An expression of emotions is essential for good mental health, but expression should be in a proper manner. If you start telling people how you feel and what actually your emotions are, you will start seeing change in their behavior. If we have learned language of emotions, we can easily free ourselves from misery. If you prefer to stay silent, this even isn’t going to help you. Above all we need to give acceptance to our emotions, we tend to feel certain type of emotions and we can’t get escape from them.  People don’t mind if you use appropriate words and feelings to express your emotions. Whenever we encounter some conflict with a person, we want a quick fix, as we all know that under the influence of intense emotions we are unable to think rationally and logically. We should take some time to think. First you have to learn the language of emotions, without learning you won’t be able to help yourself.  You always need a good start, try to accept emotions, and then focus on expressing them. Emotions are real and they need expression.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about the principles to help others

[KGVID]http://videos.willingways.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Dr.-Sadaqat-Ali-talks-about-Validation.mp4[/KGVID]

butnIn this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali gives his beautiful insight on the significance of validation. Dr. Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

Human race has been helping each other since ages. But times have changed. Unlike previously, problems have become more complicated. These complicated problems have made it difficult for people to help each other.

While helping one another, we should remember that help too has its principles. Short term problems ask for short term help and vice versa. Short term help in long term pain can create misunderstanding. Wanting to help and capacity to help are two different things. Keeping them apart with balance is important. While helping the other person, instead of taking all the responsibility on one’s head, it is important to teach problem solving skills to that person as well.

An unwanted or uninvited help is often responded with frivolity. When it comes to helping, there are fine lines which should never be crossed. One should not extend help until it is asked for.  Validation helps us in clearly defining those boundaries. Validation is endorsing and acknowledging the other person’s problem. Putting oneself in the other person’s position and feeling the pain makes way for a good validation.

Always remember and respect this rule, if helping you is hurting me, it is not helping, it is hurting.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about factors that make marriage a successful relationship

butn

This video of Dr. Sadaqat Ali contains information on “factors that make marriage a successful relationship”. Dr Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

Even before the marriage begins, several factors influence a couple’s chances for success. Most couples enter into marriage expecting to succeed. They look at the divorce statistics and believe those figures won’t apply to them. And yet, somewhere between 40 and 50 percent of those marrying today will become part of the statistics. It’s very important to be prepared before getting into this important relationship. There are certain negative habits that contribute to the marriage failure, like criticism, considering your partner as your property, unrealistic demands, and dishonesty. In general, those who are older when married have more stable marriages. For example, those who marry at the age of 20 years or later have marriages that last twice as long as those who marry under age 20. Happily married couples tend to: (a) talk to each other more often, (b) are more sensitive to each other’s feelings, and (c) use non-verbal communication more effectively. Husband and wife relationship is for three important purposes, for having kids, romance and affiliation. Respecting this relationship means respecting everything about the other person. Keep your relationship bank account full.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about adverse effects of tobacco smoking

butnIn this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about adverse effects of tobacco smoking.  Dr. Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali on international day against tobacco and highlighted curiosity as one of the most prominent reasons in teenagers that lead to tobacco use. Most of the teenagers get influenced by other smokers and adapt the mindset that “what harm can one cigarette do?” As nobody wants to become a chain smoker rather they convince themselves to use it for once only. But later on, human brain unconsciously learns unhealthy patterns. Almost all bars around world prohibit the use of cigarettes in their premises though they allow drinking alcohol. It is important to note that alcohol is also very harmful. Restricting smoking is bars show the degree of harm it can do.

Getting rid of cigarette smoking is similar to any other addiction such as food addiction or even drug addiction. When individuals quit smoking, they encounter intense cravings. In such situation, taking nicotine replacements such as nicotine patches or gums can be very helpful. In comparison to cigarettes, disadvantages of these nicotine replacements are much less. Nicotine patches or gums only provide nicotine whether cigarettes supply thousands of toxic chemicals along with nicotine. It would be a helpful first step to switch to nicotine replacement. And then gradually reducing the dosage of patches or gums can result in complete abstinence.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about grief recovery

[KGVID]http://videos.willingways.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Grief-Recovery-SBN-TV-Smart-Solutions-Expert-Dr-Sadaqat-Ali-Hosts_-Mohsin-Nawaz-Saher-u201cPart-1u201d.mp4[/KGVID]

butnIn this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali about Grief Recovery. Dr. Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

About grief, the first thing that comes to a person’s mind is death of a loved one. Grief is associated with many losses and illnesses. It is a part of our life. Normal grief does not affect us, but the one that lingers on can turn out to be devastating.

Some types of grief have shame/stigma attached; those are difficult to recover from. Grief has 5 stages including denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Initially a person cannot seem to accept the reality. During the process, the person starts thinking of ways to compensate for the loss, finally comes at peace with the bitter reality.

Unshared grief usually prolongs and troubles the one suffering from it. Grief makes a person dysfunctional in life and isolated. Such a state requires outside help to get the person out of grief. Being expressive is very important. Avoiding grief or not discussing at all is not the solution to this problem. Being around grief-stricken or negative people multiplies grief. It is imperative to be around positive and happy people.

To overcome grief, be proactive and embrace the reality. Look after your physical/psychological health, socialize, and keep yourself well hydrated. Being mission driven, focusing on things to do, and cherishing the pleasant memories will help.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about the concept of ‘VALIDATION’

[KGVID]http://videos.willingways.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Dr_Sadaqat_Ali_talks_about_Validation.mp4[/KGVID]

In this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali shares his insightful knowledge regarding interview skills and verbal/nonverbal communication. Dr. Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

Validation is not a very difficult thing to do. It can be learnt. We can learn a list of certain phrases that we already use as needed according to situations such as ‘I understand how you feel’. When people ask you for help, you need to ask them what kind of help they are looking for whether it is financial or any other. First, define the kind of help they are asking for so they do not end up saying that is not what we were wanting. The easier and simplest way of knowing what the other person is thinking of or feeling is asking them. To do that you need to learn certain words. Some words are used to initiate argument. Some words are magnetic. And some serve as bridges where others find a way towards communicating with you easily. Words are unique. They need to be learnt.

Supposedly when talking about parent-child relationship, children expect their parents to be perfect. When talking to your child, the parent needs to be able to communicate what can be and cannot be done and what their limitations are in certain situations for example on an issue of spending money. Learn how to communicate and use words intelligently where need be. That is what validation is.

Dr. Sadaqat Ali talks about interview skills & verbal/nonverbal communication

butnIn this video Dr. Sadaqat Ali shares his insightful knowledge regarding interview skills and verbal/nonverbal communication. Dr. Sadaqat Ali is a renowned addiction psychiatrist and project director of Willing Ways Pakistan.

All the interviews have their importance, and passing the CSS exam/interview is a dream of many in Pakistan. To do so, many applicants think that general knowledge is enough. In the CSS interview, all the major aspects of a personality are being observed.

Body language is a very crucial factor for an applicant. Dr. Sadaqat explains that first 4 seconds are important in making one’s impression in front of the panel. To keep one’s body language active and energetic, one should adopt a key stone habit of regular exercise.

Along with physical appearance, facial expressions, hand movements, and physical gestures also matter a lot. Before the actual interview, rehearsal is very important. For understanding and improving one’s body language, one can use deliberate practice under a coach’s supervision. One can also use camera and voice recording devices for self analysis.

Developing assertiveness is imperative for success. One should be firm, polite, and considerate while dealing with people. Look out for procrastination and always strive to think Win/Win. Our physical and psychological health paves the way for our success.

During an interview, the substance of one’s responses should be based on facts. For success, diet, exercise, and self care are important ingredients which are not to be neglected.

Many first try drugs out of curiosity, to have a good time, because friends are doing it, or in an effort to improve athletic performance or ease another problem, such as stress, anxiety, or depression. Use doesn’t automatically lead to abuse, and there is no specific level at which drug use moves from casual to problematic. Addict fools himself and family by thinking that they can quit any time they want. They create fear and fantasy to convince and manipulate their families. Addiction disables the addict. Family keeps on waiting and hoping for their loved one to come back to them. Intervention is the only tool that can help an addict and their families.  Addiction flourishes when addict only enjoys the pleasure and pain is for the family.
