When we are trying to control someone and we are unable to do that it makes us miserable and turns out to be an emotional torture, called being “Rogi” or Co-dependent. People confuse love with being co-dependent which is an old paradigm . If we want everything around us from clothes to technology updated and new, the same way our thoughts and paradigms need to renew too. Being co-dependent is a state where we try or act to help someone because it makes us feel good, but in actual it does not work for us either nor for that person. Co-dependency was actually generated times ago where helping each other was a necessity but in modern era people are much independent and can take a good care of themselves , such old paradigms are not much needed anymore more in codependency.

People who are into any kind of addiction are also co-dependent at the same time. Being co-dependent is a disease which needs to be taken care of by first stopping yourself from co-dependent activities. In this regard start setting new boundaries and construct new interests for yourself. Most of the time people feel guilty to get out of co-dependent relationship because they think it would be a selfish act. . Keep in mind that taking care of oneself is not selfishness.
